International students
Overview
AID Berlin is an officially registered private school that offers a one year Foundation Course in Design and a seven semester undergraduate study-program in Illustration Design, with the possibility of obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Courses start in April and October of each year. Our courses are taught in German and we offer language classes from beginner level upwards. On average international students make up about one-third of our courses.
Location and facilities
Located in a former warehouse building in Lichtenberg, at the heart of Berlin’s new creative centre, the school offers a high standard of facilities to meet both the creative and technical requirements of a design professional or student.
The school is equipped with Apple computers using up to date software (Adobe & Maxon), as well as having access to external workshops for manual printing techniques, model making and laser cutting etc.
Language skills
Entry to AID Berlin does not require a German language certificate, however you should be able to follow lectures and classes in German. Additionally, official exams and dissertations in the Illustration Design course are to be completed in German.
